House Sales
The true affect of the tightening of lending can be clearly seen in the number of house sales which have transacted over the last three years.
In 2007, 938 properties sold in the local area. In 2008 this had fallen to 436. However in 2009 there as a small improvement in the number of property sales, with the year’s total finishing at 456 (4.5% annual increase).
